To our Desaki Family, Neighbors, and Waterpark Guests

With all that has been going on in the news lately, we are placing the safety of our guests and employees at the highest priority.

We are taking all of the necessary precautions to ensure the staff remains healthy, and that our restaurant retains its already high standards of sanitization and cleanliness. Here at Desaki, we are fortunate to have a full time staff of dishwashers, kitchen and front of house staff to sanitize and maintain the cleanliness of our restaurant during and after service each and every day. We are even more fortunate to have a dedicated day time cleaning and maintenance crew to come in every morning just after the sun comes up to disinfect and give the restaurant a very thorough and deep clean. This includes floors, countertops, grills, ventilation hoods, bathrooms, bar, chairs, tables, and even down to steam cleaning our carpets and dance floor. We also have 4 separate hand sanitizer stations placed throughout the building stocked and ready to go to ensure that we have you covered even between hand washing! Finally, we’d like to point out that due to our open grill layout, we have 13 large ventilation hoods scattered throughout the restaurant that allow us to constantly and more efficiently cycle fresh air into the building to best avoid the possibility of airborne transmission.

This is the first time we have ever had to deal with a situation like the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and we would like to let you know that this is not something we are taking lightly. We are totally committed to doing anything we can to keep you healthy and our restaurant running as smoothly as you are used to. As a member of our Desaki family, we appreciate the trust you place in us when dining out, and we’d just like to be as transparent as possible.

A few extra things we will be doing for the foreseeable future:

-Recurrent disinfecting of all door handles on all doors

-Frequent disinfecting of all menus (food and drink)

-We will be respecting your social space and providing at least a one chair buffer between families when dining at hibachi grills

-Menus will not be placed on plates ever

-All service staff will be wearing gloves and changing them frequently (washing hands in between)

We have already implemented a strict stay-at-home policy with all staff.  Anyone with any sort of symptoms, regardless of how trivial, is required to stay home and not to return to work without proper documentation from a physician. We will continue to enforce as well as update this policy as necessary until this is under control.

Until then, please keep in mind that we offer “To Go” options for all of our sushi items, hot appetizers, and sides for your convenience.

Stay healthy and be well!
